Major non-ferrous metal production to maintain rapid growth. April, the national ten kinds of nonferrous metals output up 10.3 percent, an acceleration of 8 percentage points. Among them, aluminum production increased by 6.7%, the growth rate and the year-ago quarter; copper, lead and zinc production increased by 14.3%, 13.1% and 14.9%.

     1-4 months, the national ten kinds of nonferrous metals output 12.81 million tons, an increase of 11.4%, an acceleration of 6.8 percentage points. Aluminum production 7.01 million tons, an increase of 10.3%, slowing 0.4 percentage points; copper production growth of 11.3%, up 3.2 percentage points; lead and zinc production increased by 16.8% and 8.7% respectively, compared to down 8.8% and 7.3%. Alumina production increased by 12.4%, up 4.7 percentage points.

     Major non-ferrous metal prices have come down. In April, the Shanghai Futures Exchange copper, aluminum, lead, zinc futures month average price was 55,285 yuan / ton, 14,560 yuan / ton, 14,315 yuan / ton and 14,681 yuan / ton, respectively, last month fell 3.5%, 0.5 %, 3% and 3.8%, down 6.8%, 9%, 8.5% and 4.7%.

     The first three months, non-ferrous metal industry realized profits of 38.79 billion yuan, down 3.1%. Among them, the mining industry profit 14.77 billion yuan, down 1.9%; non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry profit of 24.02 billion yuan, down 3.8%.
